My Role as an Educator

I'm a 3rd grade teacher who is passionate about ensuring all students are provided with a fair and balanced education.

My main role in education is as an elementary teacher for 3rd grade.  Additionally I am running PLCs within my grade level to improve the standards of teaching math.

I also am a great believer in taking a positive approach to education therefore I play an active role in the new PBIS initiative.

I believe technology plays a significant role in education.  All of our students are using technology within their everyday lives.  I also believe that administrators should be abreast of technology and are able to support their staff with the implementation of technology within their classroom.  This should be a supportive role.

Technology also plays an important role in data and data is what needs to be used to drive future instruction.  I believe administrators play a key role in gathering data and analyzing it for future professional development.
